Hubris, The troubling science, economics, and politics of climate change (Michael Hart, review Michael Kelly)23.Dec.2016
Michael Hart book author, Michael Kelly book reviewer: Let us be clear at the outset: the global climate is changing, and has always been changing. The earth has warmed by 1C over the last 150 years. That is not the issue. The issue is whether the human emissions of carbon dioxide since 1850 are heralding an imminent and certain global climate catastrophe that could be averted by engineering projects.
Calvin Beisner is founder and national spokesman of The Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation: The stakes in the discussion of use of fossil fuels and whether they are having a catastrophic influence on Earth's climate couldn't be higher. Not only scientists, but leaders of the world's most influential countries and religious organizations are involved. How many of them have their feet on the ground and speak with reasoning based on the Scientific Method, essential to understanding the physical universe?
Craig Idso, CO2 Science: The Center for the Study of Carbon Dioxide and Global Change was created to disseminate factual reports and sound commentary on new developments in the world-wide scientific quest to determine the climatic and biological consequences of the ongoing rise in the air's CO2 content. The website has extensive articles and issues of CO Science going back to 1998.

Jane Orient, M.D., managing editor of the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons, Bobby Scott, scientist emeritus at Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute, William Briggs, Adjunct Professor of Statistics at Cornell, Hermann W. Berg, M.D.: “Science” is said to be dictating “evidence-based” policy with far-reaching effects on American life. “Evidence-based medicine,” which is largely applied epidemiology, supports the “guidelines” that increasingly dictate medical treatment. Its flaws are so serious that even its former ardent proponents are beginning to recognize that it is in crisis,
